About Me

Hi, I'm Denise, a self taught artist from The Netherlands (1982).

I always was a creative but for over 40 years I thought I wasn't really good at painting or drawing. 

A spiritual experience changed it all and compelled me to start teaching myself with the help of online recources, since I did not have the funds nor energy to go to formal art school.

In 2023 I started slowly. And then I took 2024 off to focus fully on myself: To both heal my inner wounds and go all in on my self taught art journey simultaneously. 

I did not realize it at first, but art, inner healing and spirituality are very interconnected.

I learned so much along the way - and am still learning everyday. I've always had a passion to help others. Therefore it's only natural that I am passionate about sharing my knowledge with you in my blog.

So whether you are here to learn more about the story behind my art, or whether you resonate with my story and want to learn more about becoming a self taught artist, my blog will provide what you need.
